From the Alps to the sea : André Gaillard’s architecture

André Gaillard was born in 1921 in la Chaux-de-Fond; with his associates, he participated to all kind of adventures from the 50s to the 70s: industrial construction of prefabricated housing, creation of seaside and winter sports resorts ex nihilo…

Numerous drawings, colour sketches and photographs retrace the work path of this enthusiastic architect.

This exhibition was presented at the Archives de la Construction Moderne (Archives of Modern Construction) from the 13th of October to the 20th of November 2005 and was the subject of a publication at the PPUR (article by Paul Marti and Giulia Marino, scientific collaborators at the BAF).
