Since its creation, the Braillard Architectes Foundation has carried out scientific activities.

The research carried out within the Braillard Architectes Foundation is divided into theme programmes lasting around 5 years.

From 2010 to 2015, BAF researchers will be devoted to research whose principle is to question boundaries, particularly from the point of view of what is commonly known as the creative class. In this context, it is the urban and architectural emergence processes that are problematized.

Schematically, research activities revolve around two axes: the architecture group and the territory group.

BAF researchers strive to problematize the urban and architectural emergence processes within the framework of the 2010-2015 programme.

The architecture group mainly targets typological innovation in regard to social housing, housing issues and lifestyle diversification.

The territory group is working on the identification of peri-urban regeneration scenarios, as well as on a critical analysis of the new urban tissue or of emerging urban models.

It is appropriate to add to these two axes the research work of the Braillard Heritage Conservatory, which produces monographies related to the architectural work of Maurice, Charles and Pierre Braillard.

This research is conducted both by research fellows who ensure regular activity within the BAF and by PhD students.
