The aim of this presentation is to share certain thoughts on the “densification of zones of detached houses” and to initiate a debate on how the urban transformation should be understood. Multiple issues are at stake: environmental, bureaucratic, social, financial and temporal. The discussion thus touched on legislative aspects as well as on issues relating to territorial architecture.

Lauren Baddeley is an architect. She works at an architectural practice in Geneva as well as at her own architecture and urban planning firm. She is politically active and a member of Geneva’s Commission for Natural Monuments and Places of Interest (CMNS), and of the CAT.
