This contribution will outline the development of housing policy in Geneva – most notably its social dimension – up to the paradigm shift that took place in 2007, when a law in favour of building affordable housing was adopted. The talk will first specify the framework of the new housing policy, and will then present the quantitative and qualitative implications raised by the building of social housing most notably. It will focus in particular on the consequences of the territorialization of housing policy [flyer].
